FAQ
Fair questions, straight answers
- What is Scora?
- A free lookup tool for Solana wallets. Paste any address and get an overall score out of 100, five sub-scores (Conviction, Vintage, Portfolio Health, Discipline, Degen Index), and the full token breakdown behind them. Think of it as a credit report for wallets.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. Scores are informational only. They summarize past on-chain behavior; they don't predict returns and they aren't a recommendation to copy, follow or avoid anyone.
- Where does the data come from?
- Live from Solana mainnet: holdings and transaction history via Helius, prices and token metadata via Jupiter. Nothing is self-reported and nothing is edited by hand. How scoring works
- Can I check a wallet that isn't mine?
- Yes. That's the primary use case: inspecting devs, whales and KOLs before you trust them. Everything Scora reads is public blockchain data that any explorer shows.
- Do you store or track the wallets I look up?
- No accounts, no database, no tracking pixels. Analysis results live in a short server cache (about 10 minutes) so popular wallets load instantly, then they're gone. Your theme choice is the only thing saved, in your own browser. Privacy in full
- Why does a score say "estimate"?
- Every analysis runs on a fixed data budget: up to about 5,000 recent transactions and per-token hold-time scans for the top holdings. When a wallet's history is bigger than that window, the coverage number drops and we mark scores as estimates instead of pretending we saw everything.
- Why is this wallet's score so low?
- Usually one of: very short hold times (Conviction), a young or bursty wallet (Vintage), a portfolio full of dead tokens (Portfolio Health), hyperactive flipping or extreme concentration (Discipline). Open the sub-score cards on the report; each one has its formula in the tooltip.
- What counts as a memecoin for the Degen Index?
- Everything that isn't SOL, a liquid-staking token, a stablecoin, or one of a short hardcoded list of blue chips. On Solana that default is honest: pump.fun mints alone outnumber everything else. The Degen Index is a character axis, not a judgment; the labels are celebratory.
- How fresh are the scores?
- Results are cached for about 10 minutes. The Re-analyze button on every report forces a fresh run once the previous one is more than a minute old.
- Is the API really free?
- Yes. One GET request per wallet, no key, CORS open. Fresh analyses are rate-limited to 10 per 5 minutes per IP; cached reads are unlimited. API docs
- A token shows a gray status dot. What does that mean?
- No live market price was found for it, which usually means the token is dead or was rugged. Dead tokens lower Portfolio Health, but the penalty is capped so one airdrop-farm era can't zero a wallet.
- Can a wallet reach 100?
- Yes, but it takes long value-weighted hold times, a two-year-plus track record with steady activity, a portfolio of living tokens, calm trading tempo, and a balanced memecoin mix. Diamond tier starts at 80.
